Managing Professional Development emphasises on the needs of the individual. It enables the individual to build on their existing skills to enhance current performance and develop new skills for their future personal and career development. Self development is personal development, with the person taking primary responsibility for his or her own learning and choosing the means to achieve this.
In this assignment I will be looking at what is included in MPD and what is needed to required completing a self assessment on yourself. I will be completing various different questionnaires and audits.
On the following page is my own personal CV. A CV provides an overview of a person's life and qualifications. The CV is typically the first item that a potential employer encounters regarding the job seeker and is typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview, when seeking employment.

I was employed by Dunnes Stores to supply a satisfactory customer service towards customers and other members of staff. From working in Dunnes Stores I have gained many skills, including communication and good time keeping. I have also gained a lot more confidence which reflects on my daily day to day work both in my job and my studies.
My personal aim is to complete the necessary studies to give me the ability to travel the world and complete different course and jobs in the different languages and countries.
2.0 Self Appraisal
2.1 Academic Background
From beginning primary school at the age of 5 I learnt to read and write. This became the most beneficial thing I would accomplish in my younger years and it is what is required in everyday life. Learning to read and write enabled me to have full advantage of the education provided to me. Completing 7 compulsory years at primary school taught me the basic life requirements in which I am still using to this day and will continue to use. In primary 6 I made the decision to do the 11+ (transfer test). In primary 7 I completed the 11+. I failed this test and went to my secondary level of Education which I now know was the right decision for me.
When beginning my new life at my secondary school I benefitted from having a great reading and writing skill. I feel I did satisfactory in St.Marys and passed my GCSES. Passing my GCSES was a huge boost for my confidence ...
