The writer’s purpose is to show that Montserrat is not only about its volcanic Eruptions, but also the Cudjoe Head festival.
The abstract adapted by James Fuller, “GOAT WATER IN CUDJOE HEAD”; the main purpose is to show that Montserrat is not only about its volcanic Eruptions, but also the Cudjoe Head festival. To bring across his point, the writer used several language techniques and strategies such as short sentences, authority, first person speech and descriptive styles; however the real identity behind the Cudjoe Head festival is still unknown.
In his endeavour to portray his point, the writer made his points unclear, lacking of specificity and dept. James Fuller however began in the first paragraph by indicating the love for the festival. Yet, he fails to show that the event caused others to lack in their own care of well being.
