How a Business Can Effectively Recognize and Manage Change
Introduction
Recognizing and managing change is an important aspect in any business. Change is something that is constant and is always going to be present in every aspect of business, whether it has to do with technology, software to assist with daily tasks, policies or procedures, laws that regulate your business, location, demand for products, salary, benefits and even employees. Businesses can effectively prepare for these types of changes and new forth comings, bring awareness to them and be ready to implement them as needed. Some tools that would be beneficial to businesses include knowing how to recognize change, how to prepare for change, what steps need to be taken to manage change, knowing what types of change there are and if there are different processes to manage the different types of change. These tools can aid businesses in better preparation for change and therefore will allow them to be more successful. This paper will discuss what types of changes there are in business, who is responsible for change and how to recognize and prepare for change. Determine how to obtain input and feedback from your customers
Identify your supporters and reward them
Provide just in time and just enough training and coaching
These steps sound simple but the challenging and important part will be working with your team and defining the mission. (Spence, 2003)

For example, a company who is in financial trouble; in other words money was tight so they hired in some new employees to cut costs and increase profitability. As the newly hired personnel start making assessments, there are more announcements about changes that will take place, they are very vague and offer no other information; of course, gossip makes its way through the business as fear of the unknown begins to build. Employee’s start to think of a time not long ago when there were changes made and jobs were lost. Now more changes are coming and more jobs may be lost.
